Freshman Year Program and The School of Business of Medgar Evers College, CUNY, is delighted to announce the conference on “Corruption: The Impact on Democracy, Economic Growth and Sustainable Development in the Caribbean – The Diaspora Working Towards a Solution.” This one-day event will take place on Friday, November 2, 2018 at 1150 Carroll Street, Brooklyn, New York from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Planned in collaboration with the University of the West Indies Alumni Association and the International Consortium of Caribbean Professionals, the aim of this conference is to bring together representatives from a wide range of stakeholders including policymakers, educators, students, NGOs, professionals, and business and community leaders. With keynote speakers including distinguished professors and civic leaders, the conference promises to be a dynamic learning opportunity.
Conference participants will explore the nature and scope of corruption that impacts the development of Caribbean societies, and discuss possible solutions to the problem. Outcomes will be presented to key stakeholders seeking to make changes.
